GINA FRANZ NAMED POV SPORTS MARKETING MANAGER, ACCOUNT SERVICES


WAYNE, Pa. (December 16, 2021) – POV Sports Marketing has hired Gina Franz as manager, account service, to oversee the firm’s SponsorshipEdge property services and sales advisory engagements. She will also support the POV brand account team on social media strategy and activation. Franz is the latest addition to POV, the women-owned, full-service sports marketing agency that specializes in brand sponsorship consulting services (strategy, valuation, management, activation) and property sponsorship sales advisory services.

Franz comes to POV from GKV Advertising, an integrated advertising agency located in Baltimore, Maryland. There she implemented public relations strategies, social media content creation and grassroots marketing efforts for local and national brands such as Aerotek, Chock full o’Nuts, Baltimore Ravens and Maryland Physicians Care.

Prior to joining GKV, Franz spent four seasons with the Philadelphia Union (MLS) in the sponsorship sales and service department. During her time at the Union, she helped design successful marketing and sales initiatives that connected the client’s brand and marketing objectives with the Union fan base. Clients included Independence Blue Cross, ACME Markets, Herr’s, Dunkin’ and SNHU among others.  

Upon graduating from Penn State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Franz’s career in sports began with a one-year post-graduate internship in the corporate sales and service department of the Philadelphia Eagles. Originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, Franz currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
